Karoline Olesen Signs with Everton
Everton Football Club today announces the signing of Danish football talent, Karoline Olesen. At just 18 years old, Karoline has already become a rising star in Danish football, and her transfer from Fortuna Hjørring marks an exciting next step in her career.
Karoline's senior football journey took off when she made her Kvindeliga debut for Fortuna Hjørring at 16yo, during the 2021/22 season. She started 46 games across the past 2 seasons, adding 4 goals and 4 assists.
On the international stage, Karoline is captain of the Denmark U19 national team - and more recently joined up with the senior national team prior to the World Cup for her first senior camp.
At Everton, Karoline joins a club with a rich history in women's football and will look forward to playing in front of the vocal fans at Walton Hall Park and Goodison Park this season.
Expressing his delight at bringing Karoline into his ranks, Head Coach Brian Sørensen said "I’m sure she has a brilliant career ahead of her, but she must now come out of her comfort zone to maximise her potential and I don’t think there is a better place to achieve that than here with us."
Karoline shared her excitement about joining Everton FC, saying "I'm very excited and am looking forward to playing for Everton. There’s no ceiling for this team. The style of play fits me very well and I think we can go on and do great things this season."
We wish Karoline all the best on her new journey in blue! Good luck, Karoline!
